We also test for any bacteria or residual pesticides, and to make sure content ratios remain steady – it is only once these strict tests have been passed that ingredients are allowed for use in our products.Health food helps you stay healthy.
As such, we visit farms and manufacturers all around the world to select ingredients, meet the producers, and check growing environments and quality.

EGAO health products are produced at factories in Japan that conform with Health Food GMP*, a system of strict, medicine-grade quality control standards.

Manufacturing equipment is inspected prior to use, and disassembled for a thorough cleaning after use. Close attention is also given to hygiene control, as all employees wear dust-proof clothing, use air showers, wash their hands, etc.

*GMP is a set of manufacturing procedure management standards used to ensure that safe products are made, and that a specific quality is maintained, starting with when raw materials are received, all the way through to shipment.
Because our products go inside the bodies of our customers, we make no compromises with quality and utilize a system of true safety. An example is our inspections, where we perform regular inspections to make sure that products are being manufactured according to our rigorous standards. We constantly pursue even higher standards of safety by performing random inspections to discover causes of product issues, prevent repeat occurrences, and further improve quality.

Information on allergic substances in our products is listed both on the packages and our website.

We also list not only the seven mandatory ingredients(*1) required by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, but also the additional 20 ingredients(*2) that are recommended by the MHLW when contained in a product. We include straightforward product information that is clear and easily understood to prevent mistakes or misunderstandings for people with allergies or on dietary restrictions. We also make sure the text is large enough to be legible for a wide range of ages.

*1) Seven mandatory ingredients: egg, milk, wheat, buckwheat, peanuts, shrimp, crab

In order to objectively and scientifically assess the safety of our products, health food products sold by EGAO undergo drink testing by humans.

In order to objectively and scientifically assess the safety of our products, health food products sold by EGAO undergo drink testing by humans.

Although not commonly done with health products, by performing drink testing by humans with our products, we are able to confirm the safety of our products so our customers know they can trust us. This methodology complies with Food for Specific Health Use (FOSHU).

Due to recent issues regarding radioactive materials and residual pesticides found in food, we use science to guarantee the safety of our products so our customers know they have nothing to worry about when using EGAO products.

*registered inspection agencies are ones that have been appointed by Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare.

The ingredients, production, and delivery to customers for all of our products are traced, letting us know when, where, and how a product was made.
We perform regular training so that, in the event that there is an issue with a product,we are fully prepared to address the problem and uncover the underlying causes.We state each manufacturing number on the back of each package, in the lower right corner, so our customers know they can trust our products.
These systems help us find out when, where, and how a product was produced,allowing us to then conduct a prompt investigation of the causes, prevent the problem from spreading, and quickly inform our customers. We believe this is a true sign of trust.

We also perform regular analyses on these long-term storage samples to test for content and for harmful substances such as heavy metals, arsenic, and bacteria.
